Chatbot
A chatbot is software that understands natural language and conducts automated conversations with users. Chatbots are used in various areas, such as customer service, e-commerce, or online marketing, to efficiently handle recurring inquiries or automate tasks.
There are two main types of chatbots: rule-based and AI-powered chatbots. Rule-based bots follow predefined scripts and can only respond to specific inputs. AI-powered chatbots, often based on technologies like machine learning or natural language processing (NLP), are more flexible and can handle complex conversations while learning from interactions.
Example: An online shop uses a chatbot to answer common questions such as "When will my order be delivered?" The chatbot accesses the shop's database and provides the user with the requested information in real time.
The advantages of chatbots are their constant availability, scalability and efficiency. They can serve a large number of users simultaneously and thus relieve the burden on customer service. They also improve the user experience by providing quick answers and personalized interactions.
Chatbots play an increasingly important role in online marketing. They assist in generating leads, improving customer satisfaction, and automating processes such as bookings or orders.
